Be Someone's Miracle

In John 4, Jesus heals a royal official’s son with just a word, and the ripple effect of that miracle leads an entire household to believe. In the same way, God often works through us in small, everyday acts of obedience that may seem ordinary but can become someone else’s miracle. From a mother delivering pasta to a struggling neighbor, to the unexpected opportunities we face at work, school, or even on the road, the call is clear: don’t just wait for a miracle… be the miracle.

Group Discussion Questions:

1. Simple acts of kindness — like sharing a meal or lending a hand — can feel like a miracle to someone in need. Can anyone share an example of a small act of kindness that made a big difference?

2. Jesus’ miracles always pointed people toward faith, not just a solution to their problem. How can acts of kindness today point people toward Jesus rather than simply toward the person doing them?

3. It’s easy to hesitate when an opportunity to help comes up — maybe because of busyness, inconvenience, or fear. What are some common reasons people hold back from serving, and how might those barriers be overcome?

4. Imagine if every person looked for one way to “be the miracle” this week. What are some practical examples of how that could look at home, at work, in the neighborhood, or at church?

5. The royal official in John 4 trusted Jesus’ words before seeing any proof. What are some situations where it’s challenging for people to take Jesus at His word, and what helps build that kind of trust?
